Keynoter Earvin "Magic" Johnson Shares Success Story On 12-City Tour
IRVINE, Ca., May 22, 2002 - Successful entrepreneur Earvin "Magic" Johnson has joined forces with the Global Diversity Group, Inc. and Volvo Cars of North America to bring The 2002 Business Exchange: Tour For Success for emerging minority entrepreneurs and small business owners. The one-day free business-seminar event will take place in 12 cities between May and November.
The goal of The 2002 Business Exchange is to provide minority entrepreneurs a series of free interactive seminars and panel discussions on key business topics that offer real solutions for business capital, contracts and technology. Each panel discussion will be conducted by a team of local entrepreneurs who have conquered issues many minority businesses face and executives, who can provide insight and opportunities for business expansion. Seminar topics include: Strategic Dollars & Sense: Financial Planning for Entrepreneurs; Securing Finance; Technology Tips; Business Basics and Partnering with Corporate America.
In addition to the seminars, guests will have an opportunity to attend a networking reception that will feature a business-marketing showcase to preview products and services to increase business productivity and profitability. The events will culminate with a general session featuring Mr. Johnson who will share how he mastered the business arena as a minority entrepreneur.
"We want to provide minorities with business solutions and increased knowledge to help them prepare for the challenges of the new economy and lead them to success," says Melodie Cunningham, president of Global Diversity Group, Inc. and event producer. "The event offers participants with invaluable information that they can easily utilize to launch, grow and manage their businesses."
In keeping with the entrepreneurial spirit, Global Diversity will present the Global Diversity Success Award - "Entrepreneur of the Year." The Event is sponsored nationally by Volvo Cars of North America, LLC.
"The 'Tour For Success' provides Volvo with a great opportunity to strength relationships within communities that are very important to us," says Greg Dixon, Volvo Cars' Consumer Relations Marketing Manager.
