The 2024 Volvo XC40 Recharge and S60 Recharge have been named Best Luxury Electric SUV and Best Luxury Plug-In Hybrid, respectively, in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars. Both vehicles were selected for having the best combination of quality, efficiency and value in their respective classes.

Volvo Car USA and Canada reports sales of 141,566 cars for the full year 2023, up 26 percent compared with last year. Recharge models—those with a fully electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain—accounted for 28.3 percent during the year, up 30.6 percent compared over last year.

The fully electric Volvo C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge models have been updated for the 2024 model year to offer increased range. Range improvements come thanks to two new powertrains offered on both the C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge.
