Dean Shaw was appointed Head of Corporate Communications in February 2013. Prior to his appointment, Dean served as public relations lead for marketing, product and brand communications since joining Volvo Car USA in 2013. Prior to that, Dean worked as Global Director of Brand for Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden, where he was responsible for brand strategy, identity, and consumer insights.
Dean’s career in the automotive industry began in 1992 with Peugeot Motor Company in the UK, and in 1996, Dean joined Volvo Car UK LTD, where he held multiple product management positions. In 2007, Dean came to the U.S. to lead business development and consumer insights for the Volvo Monitoring & Concept Center in Camarillo, California.
Born in England, Dean holds a Bachelor’s degree in transportation and logistics from Huddersfield University. He currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
