U.S. Sales Up 58 Percent
ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (June 1, 2011) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 7,359 units, a 58 percent increase from May 2010. Year-to-date sales are up 25.8 percent over the first five months of 2010.
In Canada, Volvo sales are up 19.9 percent in May with a total of 770 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales are up 6.4 percent in Canada.
U.S. sales are at their highest monthly volume since March 2008, driven by the award-winning S60 sports sedan with 2,405 units sold in May. In Canada, the XC60 and S60 were the two top selling carlines with 175 and 164 units sold, respectively.
