U.S. Sales Up 21.6 Percent
ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (April 1, 2011) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 6,369 units, a 21.6 percent increase from March 2010. Year-to-date sales are up 10.2 percent over the first three months of 2010.
In Canada, Volvo sales are down 6.8 percent in March with a total of 563 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales are down 2.1 percent in Canada.
U.S. sales are at their highest monthly volume since July 2009. Sales of the S60 sports sedan continue to increase each month, with 1,952 units sold in March. The XC60 finished the month right behind, with 1,369 units sold. In Canada, sales of the XC60 were up 135 percent, with 200 units sold (versus 85 in March 2010).
