Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA) announces pricing of $36,775* for its segment defining cross country, the all-new Volvo XC70.

"The XC70 has dominated its sector of the market and is virtually unchallenged," says Anne Bélec, president and CEO, Volvo Cars of North America. "The all-new XC70 ups the ante in accommodating active lifestyles by offering the latest in safety, technology, design and performance, while retaining our commitment to outstanding value in the premium segment."

Whether it's picking up the kids from school, navigating city traffic for a night on the town, or negotiating the wilderness half way up a mountain, the all-new XC70 is equal to the task.

With an elevated feel and driving dynamics that are exhilarating yet comfortable, the roomy and luxurious interior of the all-new XC70 is peerless in functional versatility.  Beyond perception and image, the owners of this lifestyle vehicle make the XC70 their choice because they intend to fully exploit its capabilities.

Flexing its muscles still further, for the first time the XC70 will be available with a six-cylinder engine: a 3.2 liter in-line drivetrain producing 235 horsepower and 236 lb.-ft. of torque. Further defining its versatility, the all-new XC70 introduces a height-adjustable booster cushion - an industry world's first enhancing child safety.

Other highlights include a first-time Hill Descent Control, and a world-class sound system which contributes to a comfortable and pleasurable driving experience.  These features, in addition to a myriad of safety and convenience adaptations from the recently introduced all-new Volvo S80, clearly illustrate the all-around personality of the all-new XC70.

The United States is Volvo's largest market for the all new XC70, with approximately half of the projected 38,000 annual production coming to North America. Traditionally in the U.S., the XC70 has garnered a wide range of press acclaim including: Best All-Weather Wagon in New England; Best in Class wins at the Texas Truck Rodeo; Mudfest honors in the Pacific Northwest; and Best Overall Vehicle of the Rockies.

At $36,775 this cross country segment leader is a key player to Volvo cars' lineup in the U.S. All-new Volvo XC70 sales in North America begin October 1, 2007.

* Price includes destination charge of $745.
