In October 2013, Rick Bryant was promoted to lead sales operations. Previously, Bryant served as the vice president, customer service and prior to that position was the regional vice president of VCUSA's Northeast region, overseeing sales and operations for 121 retailers in 17 states.
Bryant joined VCUSA in 1993, serving as district manager of parts and service in the Connecticut-Rhode Island area, later assuming the district sales manager position in Connecticut-Rhode Island and in New York and Boston. Subsequently, Rick became the general manager of the Boston area market, during which time he and his team secured the sponsorship placement of the iconic "Volvo" sign over the Green Monster in Boston's famed Fenway Park.
He joined VCUSA's corporate headquarters to manage the commercial business, serving as fleet manager, later managing the overseas delivery business, rental car business and all other commercial sales operations.
In 1978, Bryant began his career in the automotive business on the two-wheel side, retailing motorcycles before ultimately moving into sales for Buick, Honda, BMW and Volvo. Prior to joining Volvo, Rick held the position of vice president of franchise for Subaru of New England.
A Rhode Island native, Bryant attended the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, receiving a degree in industrial design. He has two daughters and currently resides in New Jersey.
