Volvo Car UK has appointed Nitro London as its new UK advertising agency, with immediate effect.  This follows Volvo Car Corporation's recent appointment of Arnold/Nitro as its new global advertising partner. The team's first assignment will be the implementation of the UK launch campaign for the all new Volvo V70 and all new Volvo XC70, which will break in September this year.


"Nitro's approach combines our strategic business objectives with inspiring creative vision and we believe that this will give us the right balance to accelerate the momentum of the brand in the UK. 


"This alignment will offer better integration with our global campaigns, access to assets further upstream and also deliver cost and speed to market efficiencies," says Anita Fox, head of marketing communications at Volvo Car UK.


Nitro London replaces Fuel as the advertising agency responsible for the creation of global and UK advertising campaigns and replaces Abbott Mead Vickers (AMV.BBDO) on local adaptations and projects in the UK. AMV will continue to work with Volvo until the end of September. Volvo has enjoyed a fruitful and exceptional partnership over the last 29 years with AMV, which has yielded a number of ground-breaking and memorable communication campaigns.
