VOLVO HELPS CHARITY TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER FOR CHRISTMAS

Volvo is helping people get together over the festive period by providing a fleet of cars to the Crisis Open Christmas.  The charity is using a fleet of cars including the Volvo V50 sportswagon and the S40 and S60 saloons to help volunteers reach the people who need warmth and companionship at a time that can be particularly lonely for those without a home or family.

Every year Crisis refurbishes empty buildings of various sizes to become temporary homes for over 1500 of London's homeless and vulnerably housed people over the Christmas period.  With a range of Crisis centres across London the Volvo fleet will have the important role of transporting essential equipment and food, as well as volunteers, from place to place to ensure that people get the help and supplies they need.

"We are delighted to support the Crisis Open Christmas this year, which does such an invaluable job over the Christmas period.  As a socially responsible company that believes in taking the best care of people, it's a pleasure to play an active role in helping to bring people together at this special time of year," said Stuart Kerr, managing director of Volvo Car UK.
