Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, and Polestar, the performance brand owned by Volvo Cars, have announced the launch of the quickest cars they have ever made – the new 367hp Polestar S60 sedan and V60 estate.
The Volvo V60 Polestar becomes the world’s safest safety car in a new long-term agreement with the FIA World Touring Car Championship, starting in the season-opening WTCC Race of France at Circuit Paul Ricard on April 1-3rd.
Volvo Cars is set to begin production of special editions of the S60, Volvo’s premium mid-size four-door sedan and its expressive sibling, the five-door V60 estate. The cars will come with a range of attractive exterior and interior updates that add an additional splash of dynamism.
Polestar introduces a whole new line of high-performance products in the form of Polestar Performance Parts, offering even more driving pleasure to Volvo drivers.
The V60 is Volvo’s elegant and versatile 5-door premium mid-size estate. Launched in 2010 and revamped in 2013, the V60 has been a resounding success in many of Volvo’s key markets ever since. Like its S60 sibling, it is also available as a powerful Polestar version.
Volvo Cars today announces a wide range of updates for model year 2017, including the introduction of its latest semi-autonomous drive technology, Pilot Assist II, as standard on the XC90 in selected markets.
