RICHMOND HILL, ON (Tuesday, August 3, 2021) – Volvo Car Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce a strong sales result for the month of July: a total of 1,103 vehicles were retailed throughout the month, for an increase of 9 percent over July of 2020. Year-to-date, the company exceeded last year’s results, delivering a total of 6,246 units, for an increase of 52.5 percent.
July marked the 13th consecutive month of year-over-year growth for the Volvo brand in Canada. As in previous months, these results were bolstered by continued demand for Recharge powertrains, which accounted for 21 percent of all new vehicle sales in the month of July. Led by this month’s volume driver, the XC60 SUV, Volvo’s exciting lineup of plug-in hybrid and pure electric SUVs continued to resonate with Canadian consumers.
July also marked a strong month for Certified by Volvo sales, which retailed 310 units. Year-to-date, 2,066 Certified by Volvo units have been delivered, representing a year-over-year increase of 31.2 percent.
