Tara Powadiuk Appointed Director of Marketing for Volvo Car Canada Limited

RICHMOND HILL, ON (Monday, September 30, 2019) – Today Volvo Car Canada welcomes Tara Powadiuk to its executive management team to lead the Marketing department based out of the company’s headquarters in Toronto.

 

Tara brings over 20 years of international marketing experience, most recently serving as Microsoft’s International Media Group Manager for Asia Pacific, Latin America and Canada. Over the course of her 14 years at Microsoft she led many successful marketing initiatives for Cloud Computing, Office365, Xbox and Surface in the Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East, Latin America and Canada markets. Prior to her time at Microsoft, Tara worked for global agencies including Leo Burnett and MacLaren McCann to develop impactful marketing campaigns for consumer brands like Walt Disney and P&G, and at UK Trade & Investment where she encouraged growing Asia Pacific companies to choose the UK as the ideal location to open their European offices.

 

As Director of Marketing for Volvo Car Canada, Tara will be responsible for working cross functionally to develop marketing initiatives that share the Volvo brand story through digital, experiential, PR, social and traditional channels. She will also work closely with the Retailer network to support their volume growth opportunities and manage external agency partners to implement Volvo’s brand strategy for Canada and increase brand awareness.

Tara holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
