Volvo Car Canada Ltd. Reports 7% Growth Year to Date in June

RICHMOND HILL (Wednesday, July 3, 2019) – Today Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reported sales of 928 units for the month of June. Year to date, Volvo Canada has sold a total of 4,900 vehicles in 2019 compared to 4,561 vehicles sold in 2018, representing an increase of 7%.

In June, the 2019 XC60 T8 was announced as the Vincentric Best Value in Canada winner in the Luxury Electric/Plug-In Hybrid SUV/Crossover segment. The Vincentric Best Value in Canada Awards are model specific honours that determine the best value in each segment. Having the lowest depreciation rate and insurance cost, as well as the best fuel economy in its class were all contributing factors in the XC60 T8’s win.

To add to the accolades, Auto123 named the 2019 XC60 T8 and XC90 T8 on their list of the Top 10 Plug-In Hybrid SUVs in Canada for 2019.

“We are very pleased with our strong year to date performance,” said Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Car Canada. “The recent T8 wins continue to position our brand as a pioneer in the luxury electric segment and we expect to see continued adoption from consumers to our electric product offerings.”
