TORONTO, ON (June 3, 2014) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. reported May new vehicle sales of 533 units, a 55.4 per cent increase from the previous month. May Certified Pre-owned (CPO) sales remained steady at 124 units, down just one unit from April 2014.
The top selling new vehicles continued to be the XC60 premium crossover selling 164 units, the S60 sports sedan at 155 and the V60 Sportswagon which sold 129 units during the month of May.
“The sales in May demonstrate the growing demand and popularity of our lead models, particularly the S60 with the new Drive-E engine which doubled in sales and the V60 Sportswagen which saw a 54 per cent increase over the previous month,” says Marc Engelen, President & CEO, Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. “We’re looking forward to a busy summer, especially when the new S60 and V60 Polestar models arrive in Canada in the next few months.”
