Volvo Car Corporation today unveiled a new system that could help drivers avoid or minimize the effects of low-speed collisions that have become common in urban traffic. The system, dubbed City Safety, is designed to prepare the car’s braking system to help the driver avoid a possible rear-end collision with a vehicle in front, and apply the brakes should the driver fail to react in time.
