Volvo Cars is launching an innovative online contest challenging people to virtually drive a Volvo C30 DRIVe around the world in 80 days, using only their Facebook friends. Volvo Cars will donate 15,000 Euros in the winning team's name to a carbon offset project promoted by "myclimate".
63,000 teams from all over the world participated in the Volvo's DRIVe Around the World game making it the most installed branded application and seventeenth most installed application on Facebook in 2009.
With the C30, Volvo made its debut in the segment for two-door premium cars. The sporty design, with two doors, four individual seats, and a glass tailgate, gives a young and dynamic group of customers "a Volvo of their own".
