The event organised in collaboration with the interior magazine Living Corriere della Sera will have on stage the ‘interiors sculpture’, designed by Migliore+Servetto Architects, expressing the natural dialogue between art and design.

  • Volvo and Technology – Pure Tension Pavilion will be the protagonist of the event Urban Stories.
Volvo will show the Pavilion developed for Volvo’s Plug in Hybrid models at the event taking place at Palazzo Litta, Corso Magenta 24, Milano.

In Brera, Volvo will be showing The Volvo Retail Experience, the new design for Volvo dealerships

Art of Living – Volvo in collaboration with Living Corriere della Sera at the Milan Triennale
This event where Volvo will be the main partner is entitled “The Art of Living” and it will stage the dialogue between the world of art and design. (“The Art of Living” is also the title of the Publishing’s group magazine)
Volvo will show the vertical display (or sculpture) of the Interiors of the Concept XC Coupé, first presented at the Detroit Motorshow in January of this year. This display expresses on the one hand Volvo’s philosophy of “Designed around you” aiming at functionality and on the other a more artistic approach to design. Through this display Volvo emphasizes how lines, design and light are essential whilst maintaining its affinity to the Scandinavian design tradition.

Urban Stories – Volvo and the Pure Tension Pavilion
The Volvo Pure Tension Pavilion will the protagonist at Urban Stories.

Urban Stories comes to life this year, in Milan’s historical centre, in the fascinating Palazzo Litta, Corso Magenta 24, where the works of the different designers will stand in this unique ambience.

First prize at the International Competition launched by Volvo, for its architectural technical and formal quality, and featured by a great visual impact, the Pure Tension pavilion, designed by Studio SDA Synthesis Design + Architecture Alvin Huang, conveys a new meaning of absolute mobility.

It anticipates a future in which charging becomes "portable": The pavilion is in fact also a "solar blind", with integrated charging system that can recharge new plug in hybrid technology such as the V60 Diesel Plug-In Hybrid.
