Volvo Cars has attracted considerable attention with its new safety function in which the car brakes automatically - Volvo City Safety. "City Safety is of considerable interest to insurance institutes, and insurance companies on many markets are cutting premiums by up to 30 percent for anyone who insures a Volvo XC60," relates Anders Eugensson, safety expert at Volvo Cars Governmental Affairs.
The world-first safety system City Safety is a standard feature in the all-new Volvo XC60 - and during the 79th Geneva Motor Show media and visitors will be able to test how City Safety works on a special outdoor test track.
Volvo City Safety has received Euro NCAP Advance, an assessment rating for new and exceptional safety technology that was awarded for the first time ever at the Paris Motor Show."Highly gratifying. We have worked long and hard for active safety systems to be included in Euro NCAP's assessment criteria," says Thomas Broberg, Senior safety advisor at Volvo Cars.
