Hat trick for Volvo Cars’ In-house Magazine

Agenda Magazine, the in-house magazine at Volvo Car Corporation, did it again – won the Swedish Publishing Award for the third year running.

The magazine, distributed to Volvo Cars’ employees worldwide, has previously won the Swedish Publishing Award in the category “In-house magazines within Trade and Industry”, 2004 and 2005. The jury motivated this year’s award with the following: “For a magazine well worth reading with a clear visual language and a feeling for the importance of attention to details for the overall image.”

Agenda Magazine is printed in 34,000 copies in three languages: Swedish, English and Dutch. It is distributed nine times a year. The magazine in produced by Volvo Cars’ Public Affairs department in cooperation with the publishing agency Studio Desktop.

The issue judged by the Swedish Publishing Award (No.2/2006) focused on social responsibility. Volvo Car Corporation supports among other organizations World Childhood Foundation, which on its part supports a project to fight malnutrition amongst children in a township in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Swedish Publishing Award was founded 1990 by Populär Kommunikation. The category for In-house Magazines within Trade and Industry was one of 20 different categories.
