Volvo Polestar came to Karlskoga with a lead in both the driver and team championship after a fantastic effort at Falkenberg in July with two wins. It would however prove difficult for the Volvo Polestar team to capitalize on its pace at Karlskoga following drive shaft failure on both cars.
Dahlgren started heat one from third place but slipped down a position and finished fourth.
"I was quick until the usual tire wear kicks you off pace on this track" he says.
Tommy Rustad finished tenth in the first heat and ninth in the second after a failing drive shaft ruined the day already in the first qualifying session.
Same problem would force Dahlgren to retire in the second heat and consequently to lose his lead in the driver championship to Richard Göransson in BMW.
"Sometimes you face a setback, but you just need to keep pushing ahead" concludes Dahlgren.
Next race is on September 5 at Jyllandsringen in Denmark where both Tommy Rustad and Robert Dahlgren won a heat each in the season premiere.
