Volvo Car Corporation and Polestar will begin this year's Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) season on 24 April at Jyllandsringen in Denmark. The ambition is to defend both the driver and team championship titles. At centre stage in this ambition is the new race car.
The summer holidays will remain short this year for Volvo Cars Motorsport and its official partner and Swedish Touring Car Championship team Polestar Racing. As preparations run high for the next Falkenberg STCC race on July 10, the mindset is already on Brands Hatch and WTCC on July 18 where Polestar Racing will enter its bio-ethanol powered C30 DRIVe with driver Robert Dahlgren.
With the C30, Volvo made its debut in the segment for two-door premium cars. The sporty design, with two doors, four individual seats, and a glass tailgate, gave a young and dynamic group of customers "a Volvo of their own".
