New England Motor Press Association acknowledges S60 AWD
Irvine, CA. - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC announces that the Volvo S60 AWD has been named "Best in Class All Weather Sedan - Over $30,000" by the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA).
A panel of seasoned automotive writers, broadcasters and commentators selected vehicles that they determined best suited the needs, wants and desires of the New England driver. Notoriously fierce winters, with ice, snow, sand and frost-damaged roads combine to make New England the ultimate testing ground for winter preparedness.
Vehicles were separated into 12 individual classes, and each received extended judgment throughout New England for the entire winter, allowing NEMPA members to evaluate performance in all weather conditions.
In reporting its selection of the Volvo S60 AWD, NEMPA stated, "Volvo has always been recognized for building safe, sturdy cars. The S60 builds on that reputation. But with the sexy curves of its big brother S80, the S60 shows that 'Volvos aren't for geeks anymore'."
The New England Motor Press Association is dedicated to the support and advancement of automotive journalists in the New England area. Membership includes automotive writers, photographers, radio personalities and television commentators.
