Sales down for the month, but ahead of last years' record pace
IRVINE, CA (December 1) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC reports that it remains ahead of its record sales pace established in year 2000. The 7,465 units sold represents a decrease compared to last November, yet VCNA's record of 131, 836 units is well within reach by year-end.
For the month, the S60 sedan, complemented by the newly launched AWD version, continues to lead Volvo sales, while the Cross Country performed well - defining the niche between station wagon and SUV. In addition, the company's first-ever Sports Utility Vehicle will be unveiled next month at the Detroit Auto Show.
