Volvo Cars of North America CEO to Deliver Upcoming Speeches on Revitalization Journey

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (May 30, 2013) - Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA) today confirmed that President and CEO John Maloney will address members of two influential automotive journalist groups in 2013, the International Motor Press Association (IMPA) and the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA), on Volvo's future as an independent automaker and its commitment to the U.S. market with substantial investments in product, brand and facilities.

VCNA recently said it would bring back the wagon to the U.S. market with the V60 sports wagon and would launch the most significant product refresh of existing models in the company's history.  VCNA's Swedish parent, Volvo Car Group, is embarking on an $11 billion transformation strategy which will include the launch of an all-new engine family built and developed by Volvo, as well as the introduction of the next generation XC90 SUV late next year. These new engines will give Volvo customers a combination of performance and high-efficiency while the new XC90 will replace one of Volvo's most successful models ever in the United States.

"We are at the beginning of a product-led revitalization journey of Volvo Cars," Maloney said.  "I am looking forward to sharing more details with these two influential groups."
