BIOGRAPHY
Lars Danielson has more than 20 years of experience from executive positions in the automotive industry. As a native Swede, he started his career at Saab Automobile. There he held several positions and was the head of manufacturing operations for 8 years.
In 2006 Mr Danielson joined Volvo Cars. He took on the role as general manager for the Torslanda plant in Gothenburg and stayed there until 2010. In this period Volvo Cars Manufacturing (VCM) operations went through major improvements, in order to achieve higher quality and efficiency. Lars was together with the VCM management team leading this transformation.
Lars Danielson moved to China when Geely acquired Volvo Cars in 2010. He got the responsibility to lead the establishment of Volvo Cars' manufacturing footprint in China, including the car plant in Chengdu and other sites.
Since the beginning of 2013 Mr Danielson is head of Volvo Cars' operations in China, including sales, product development, purchasing, manufacturing, and all administrative functions with headquarters in Jiading, Shanghai, China.
