IRVINE, CA (October 3, 2006) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC reported sales for September of 9,691 units* in the United States, representing a year-over-year increase of 1.6 percent.
For the month, the all new C70 convertible with the retractable hardtop continued to deliver, and there were strong performances by XC70, S60 and the new S40. Looking ahead for Volvo, the C30 made its debut in the two-door premium-car segment at the Paris Motor Show, last week.
Volvo sales in Canada were up 3 percent for the month, with 831 units sold. In Mexico, Volvo sales of 245 units represented a 28 percent increase.
Overall, Volvo sales in North America (United States, including Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico) were 10,767 units – up 2.2 percent for September.
