Volvo Announces September Sales


ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Oct. 3, 2011) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 5,042 units, a 21 percent increase from September 2010.  Year-to-date sales are up nearly 27 percent over the first nine months of 2010.


In Canada, Volvo sales are down 9.5 percent in September with a total of 486 vehicles sold.  Year-to-date sales are up 1.7 percent in Canada.


In the United States, the award-winning S60 sports sedan was the top seller in September with 1,623 units sold, while the XC90 and XC60 finished the month second and third, respectively.  In Canada, the S60 was the top seller with 154 units sold, followed by the XC60 with 99 units sold.
