ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Sept. 1, 2011) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 5,215 units, a 17.4 percent increase from August 2010. Year-to-date sales are up 27.4 percent over the first eight months of 2010.
In Canada, Volvo sales are down 1.7 percent in August with a total of 512 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales are up 3 percent in Canada.
In the U.S., the award-winning S60 sports sedan was the top seller in August with 1,544 units sold, while the XC60 and XC90 finished the month second and third respectively. In Canada, the S60 and XC60 tied for the top spot, each with 133 units sold.
