Irv Gordon has managed to keep his 1966 Volvo P1800 going for four decades and more than 2.8 million miles. Now, he and his P1800 are the stars of a special feature "Can My Car Live Forever?" airing Jan. 26 on PBS.
Host Neil deGrasse Tyson, astrophysicist at the American Museum of Natural History, visits Irv and takes a spin in his one-of-a-kind ride. PBS is using the story of Irv to raise the larger question if this recipe for longevity can help the human body go the extra mile.
