ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (August 3, 2010) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 4,319 units, a 32.9 percent decrease from July 2009. Year-to-date sales are down 10.1 percent over the first seven months of 2010.
In Canada, Volvo sales were up 20.5 percent in July with a total of 712 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales are up 2.4 percent in Canada.
Set for its mid-September introduction, the all-new 2011 S60 sports sedan looks to bolster Volvo's sales in the third and fourth quarters. A major volume contributor for VCNA, the supply of previous-generation S60s has been fully depleted.
