ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (July 1, 2010) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 4,995 units, a 29.1 percent decrease from June 2009. Year-to-date sales are down 5.2 percent over the first six months of 2010.
In Canada, Volvo sales were down 20.5 percent in June with a total of 716 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales are down 0.7 percent in Canada.
Set for introduction later this year, the all-new 2011 S60 sports sedan looks to bolster Volvo's sales in the third and fourth quarters. A major volume contributor for VCNA, the supply of previous-generation S60s has been fully depleted. The all-new S60 goes on sale mid-September with available Pedestrian Detection with Full Auto Brake, dynamic handling characteristics and stunning design with a base price of just $37,700*.
