Volvo Cars of North America Sales Report for August
IRVINE, CA – September 1, 2005 -- Volvo Cars of North America, LLC. report sales 10,826 units for the month in the United States, representing a 14 percent decrease compared to the best August on record turned in last year.
Overall, NAFTA (Canada, Mexico, and the United States, including Puerto Rico) sales reached 12,159 units – 12 percent off the 2004 mark. In August, Volvo Cars Canada reported sales up nearly 7 percent, with 1,042 units sold. Volvo Cars Mexico sold 291 units – a slight decrease compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date Canada and Mexico remain ahead of last year, while NAFTA is 4 percent off its record pace of 2004.
