Volvo Car USA reports continued growth of Recharge sales in February

MAHWAH, NJ
(March 2, 2022) Volvo Car USA reported 6,219 cars sold in February 2022 despite continued supply constraints. Demand for Volvo cars remained strong and the brand’s Recharge models closed out the month up 62 percent over the same period last year.

Sales of the company’s Recharge models – cars with a fully electric or plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain – represented 27 percent of total sales nationwide. In California, Recharge models accounted for a record 66.5 percent of total sales in the state, 3 percent more than January 2022.

Overall, the Volvo Car Americas region reported 7,828 cars sold for the month. Volvo Car Canada saw a year-over-year sales increase of 4.1 percent. A total of 2,308 Recharge models were sold in the Americas region and represented 29.5 percent of total volume.
