Mexico up 38.2 percent; Canada 5.7 percent for July, while steady in the US for the month
IRVINE, CA – August 2, 2005 -- Volvo Cars of North America, LLC reports sales for July of 11,511 units in the United States. The results are 6.3 percent off last year's record pace. The Volvo XC90 continued to be the company's sales leader, with impressive showings by both the S40 and S60.
Overall, NAFTA (Canada, Mexico, and the United States, including Puerto Rico) sales reached 12,883 units, representing a 4.6 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. In July, Volvo Cars Canada reported sales up 5.7 percent, with 1,025 units sold. Volvo Cars Mexico sold 347 units – an increase of 38.2 percent over 2004.
