(July 27, 2005) Oshkosh, Wis. –– Doug Ramsburg of Denver, Colorado stands with Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group Companies, in front of White Knight/SpaceShipOne today at 2005 EAA Air Venture in Oshkosh, Wis. Earlier this year, Ramsburg won a trip to space courtesy of Volvo Cars of North America on Branson’s Virgin Galactic, which is planning commercial space flight sometime in the next three years. Ramsburg won the trip through the “Boldly Go” sweepstakes Volvo conducted this year as part of its Super Bowl advertising initiative to launch the V8 version of its Volvo XC90 SUV. Virgin’s commercial spacecraft will be based on the White Knight/SpaceShipOne craft.
