Leigh Moynihan was appointed Head of Marketing for the Americas in February 2020. She has helped steward a return to the brand’s core values of safety & sustainability – resulting in award-winning campaigns and the historic win of the most Top Safety Pick Plus awards of any brand (as of April 2021).
Prior to her appointment, Leigh led the brand team since joining Volvo in February 2018. During that time, Leigh made a significant impact through campaigns and brand activations, including the launch of XC40 and the first-generation Care by Volvo application. She also supported brand moments, sales events, Certified by Volvo, as well as the company's profitable Aftersales businesses.
Leigh came to Volvo with nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising and brand development. From managing McDonald’s Olympic Hospitality Program at the 2000 Summer Olympics, to driving the brand transformation of three P&G beauty brands, the repositioning of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ biggest global brand, and adoption of digital pay solutions at Mastercard for Google, Samsung and Apple.
Leigh lives in Connecticut with her husband and two young sons.
