STEVE MATTIN

 

 

Steve Mattin has been appointed new Design Director at Volvo Car Corporation.

Steve Mattin has had a long career at DaimlerChrysler with several major design projects under his responsibility. He is now leaving the Senior Design Manager position at DaimlerChrysler and will start his new job as Vice President and Design Director at Volvo Car Corporation in May 1.

Steve Mattin is well respected in the automotive design community. He has a real passion for premium cars, which he has proved well during his 17 years at DaimlerChrysler.

Steve Mattin was born in Bedford, England in 1964 and has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Transport Design at the Coventry University where he graduated in 1987. In 1997 Steve Mattin was named "Designer of the year" by Autocar Magazine.

 

Steve Mattin will report to Volvo Cars President and CEO, Hans-Olov Olsson as well as J Mays, group vice president of Design and Chief Creative Officer of Ford Motor Company.
