Volvo’s Mobile Fuel and Wash, European In-Car Delivery Service, Grow with High Marks from Customers

(MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA) Volvo’s growing suite of connected car technologies are resonating well with customers amidst strong growth. Robust customer feedback and demand for in-car delivery in Europe and mobile fuel and wash services in the United States is encouraging further development in Volvo’s connected car platform.

European in-car delivery, where Volvo owners have groceries and other items delivered to the car’s trunk, has been operating since 2015 with 95 percent of first time customers recommending the service to others. Volvo was the first automaker to offer in-car delivery services and the program continues to grow. Additional partners, services and countries are being added soon as the program enters its third year of operation.

 

Mobile fuel and wash provides on-demand fueling and car wash services via a mobile app with Volvo’s digital key technology in San Francisco and Seattle. The service has grown consistently since starting in early 2017. The vehicle can automatically order fuel delivery when the gas gauge hits a certain level or customers can schedule regular refueling at a specific time and place, such as when parked at the office or overnight at home.

 

Customer satisfaction for Volvo’s mobile fuel and wash is very high, with some users relying on the program for all fueling needs. By reducing the need to “stop for gas,” Volvo can allow customers to focus on the things that are important to them.

 

Volvo Cars continues to expand the On Call platform with new services being announced soon. Volvo On Call is standard on all U.S. model year 2018 vehicles for four years.
