Records Second Consecutive Month of Year-Over-Year Sales Growth
ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Aug. 3, 2009) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, reported sales of 6,441 units in the United States for July, a 25.7 percent increase over last July's sales, marking the second straight month of year-over-year sales increases.
Overall in North America (United States and Canada), Volvo has sold 40,205 units year-to-date, which represents a 27.7 percent decrease for the same period of 2008*. However, for the month of July, Volvo sales in Canada were up 39.4 percent, with 591 units sold.
Volvo forecasted higher sales this July, attributing much of the success to the company's Safe + Sound Coverage Plan, which has been extended through the end of August.
