Volvo Cars of North America appoints John Stech as Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations

Tony Nicolosi, President and CEO of Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA), appointed John Stech, currently President Volvo Car Russia, who will join his management team in the new role of Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations as of September 2, 2014.

“We are delighted that John has accepted the chance to join Volvo Cars in the U.S. at such an exciting time for the brand,” said Nicolosi. “John has great automotive industry experience from around the world and we are glad he is returning to his homeland with Volvo Cars.”

In this new role Stech will work across Sales, Network, Aftersales and IT to oversee the ongoing transformation of Volvo Cars’ commercial operations in the U.S.

“I am thrilled by the challenge and opportunity to join VCNA at such an important market at such a pivotal time,” said Stech. “Volvo is a great brand and I have no doubt that the unprecedented product offensive will underpin our transformation in the U.S. Our customer-centric approach to developing new cars will really resonate with current and new consumers alike and continues with the all-new XC90.”

Stech will report directly to Nicolosi in his new role.

“This appointment will enhance the capabilities of my organization to support the massive investment we are making in the U.S. market. It also demonstrates the vital role that the U.S. market plays within Volvo Cars and underlines our ambition,” said Nicolosi. “We will be replacing our entire range of models by the end of 2017 with 9 new cars in production,” he concluded.
