TORONTO - Jeffrey Pugliese has been appointed President and CEO of Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. and Volvo Auto de Mexico, effective April 8, 2008. Pugliese will take over responsibility for franchise development, sales, marketing and distribution activities in Canada and Mexico and report to Anne Bélec, President and CEO of Volvo Cars of North America, LLC.
Pugliese will replace Steve Blyth who has held the position since 2005. As the end of his three-year term in North America drew near, Blyth elected to leave Volvo Cars to pursue other interests.
Pugliese began his career at Volvo in 1985 as a Regional Sales Manager with Volvo Cars of North America in the US. Since that time he has served in a variety of roles including Business Manager, District Sales Manager, Market Development Manager, General Manager and Commercial Sales Manager. His most recent role was Regional Vice President - Central which he has held since 2005. Pugliese holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
