Volvo Cars reports sales increase for February

...up 8.8 percent in United States and 9.0 percent in Canada

IRVINE, CA (March 3, 2003) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA) reports overall NAFTA sales up 8.8 percent for February, a growth trend for the fourth month in a row. Year-to-date, Volvo sales in North America are 10.8 percent ahead of the same period last year, led my strong results from the S60, XC90, and S/V 40 models.

 

In the United States (including Puerto Rico), 8,754 units were sold representing an 8.8 percent increase for the month. Total Sales in Canada and Mexico of 664 and 160, respectively, were up 9.0 percent and 2.6 percent.

 

VCNA is part of the Volvo Car Corporation of Göteborg, Sweden. The company provides marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support to Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

 

The 2003 Volvo automobile line includes the award-winning XC90, the sporty S60 sedan, the flagship S80 luxury sedan, versatile V70 wagon and rugged Cross Country, the C70 convertible, and the compact S40 and V40 models.
