Volvo Cars Reports an Increase in November Sales for North America

 

Irvine, CA - December 3, 2002 - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC reports sales are up 3.7 percent for November over the same period last year. The United States accounted for 7,770 units sold - an increase of 4.1percent. Sales in Canada were 738, representing a slight increase of 0.1 percent.

The S60 sedan continues to be the sales leader in the U.S., while the V70 made a strong showing - up 15.2 percent in November, reinforcing Volvo's leadership position in the wagon segment. In Canada, the S 40 and V 40 put up impressive numbers with significant increases complementing the strength of the popular S60 and XC70 Cross Country models.

The Volvo XC90 began delivering in its first full month on the market. With unprecedented pre-sales, the XC90 signals good news for Volvo in the coming months.
