Media advisory – not for publication: Volvo at SMMT Test Day 2019
It probably hasn't escaped your notice that the Volvo brand is riding the crest of a wave at present. In fact, unlike the UK market and most of our rivals, we're still up more than 30% year-on-year in terms of sales.
So we'll be showcasing everything that our ebullient brand and products stand for at the SMMT Test Day on Thursday 23rd May at Millbrook. When it comes to our multi-award-winning range of cars, in the past 12 months alone we've launched the V60, V60 Cross Country and not to mention our latest offering – the S60.
Talking of the latter, fresh from its UK media launch in the scenic Scottish Highlands, the US-built S60 is taking its SMMT Test Day bow in UK launch T5 engine guise. It'll be the first chance for many of you to get behind the wheel of our new mid-size executive saloon, and as the most dynamic Volvo yet, we'd encourage you to enjoy it on the hill route.

Of course, it wouldn't be Volvo without a Swedish slant on things, with a human touch to boot, so please join us for Fika throughout the day. Our Scandinavian colleagues catch up with friends and associates over a strong coffee and typically a sweet treat at least once a day. So if you need to take the weight off of your weary feet for a few minutes, or – heaven forbid like last year – there's a queue for the keys to our multi-award-winning range, just pop by and see one of the ever-helpful and ultra-professional team.
