Volvo Car UK has appointed Mike Gale as its new Head of PR, following the promotion of Nikki Rooke to Vice President, External Communications at Volvo's global head office in Gothenburg.
Reporting into Jon Wakefield, Volvo Car UK's Managing Director, Mike has just started in the role, ably supported by the current five-strong PR team.
Swapping Spain for Sweden, Mike joins the fast-growing premium brand from SEAT UK, where he has worked for the past three years. Prior to that, he looked after PR for the Renault and Dacia brands, as well as several previous PR roles in non-automotive industries.
Speaking about his move, Mike said: "I'm delighted to be part of the Volvo family. It's a really exciting place to be, with an impressive and multi-award-winning model line-up, and an even more promising future. I know the team already has a strong reputation, too, so I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together."
