Volvo Car Corporation has appointed Peter Rask as the managing director of Volvo Car UK and regional president of UK, Ireland and Iceland with effect from 1 January 2009. He will replace Stuart Kerr who has been appointed Regional President - Europe with immediate effect.
Peter Rask has been with Volvo for 11 years and currently holds the position of President of Volvo Cars Switzerland. Rask brings with him a wealth of experience from previous roles within Volvo Car Corporation including Vice President Global Marketing and as Managing Director of Volvo Car's sales companies in Greece and Switzerland, so he will be bringing valuable attributes to one of Volvo's key sales companies.
Peter will report directly to Stuart Kerr in his new role of Regional President - Europe. Stuart will combine his new role with his current responsibilities until Peter Rask is in place.
Stuart has led Volvo Car UK since October 2006 and prior to this held the position of President of Volvo Cars Overseas Corporation.
