At a press conference to be held at 10am on Tuesday 10th September (Hall 5, Stand B02), Volvo will reveal the first in a series of three concepts from its new Senior Vice President of Design, Thomas Ingenlath, highlighting the future design direction for Volvo as an independent manufacturer.
The Volvo Concept Coupe has been designed on Volvo’s brand new chassis, titled Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) and uses a new hybrid system, mixing electrification with a powerful version of an engine from Volvo’s new Drive-E powertrain.
The Volvo Concept Coupe will be the stand highlight, holding many styling cues for future models, including the all-new XC90 which will be released in late-2014. Along with the centre-piece concept, Volvo will also be showcasing its most up-to-date model range ever seen, along with its new Drive-E engine family.

Members of the Executive Management Team (EMT) will be available throughout the day on an ad-hoc basis, allowing journalists to approach them for an informal chat.
