Volvo Car UK has extended its innovative Take Charge electricity offer, which allows buyers of new plug-in hybrid cars to benefit from a year's reimbursed electricity to charge their car*. The offer applies to every plug-in hybrid model in the Volvo range, from the funky XC40 premium compact SUV to the luxurious seven-seat XC90.
Volvo Car Group, including its strategic affiliates Lynk & Co and Polestar, produce vehicles based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, introduced in 2017. To the end of July 2020, more than 600,000 Group vehicles based on the platform have been sold.
Volvo Cars sold 44,830 cars in May, down 25.5 per cent compared with the same month last year, as sales and showroom traffic trends in Europe improved and sales in China continued to grow. In the US, sales recovered quicker than expected as more states loosened restrictions put in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
