Volvo Car Corporation appoints Alain Visser to the new position of Vice President Sales Operations within Marketing, Sales and Customer Service.
Alain Visser, 49, comes from a position as Vice President Sales, Marketing and After sales for Opel and Vauxhall, based in Germany. His previous experiences include a broad variety of leadership positions in Sales and Marketing positions within Ford of Europe and General Motors.

Alain Visser was born in Belgium and has a Masters degree from the University of Antwerp, Belgium as well as an MBA from Duke University, North Carolina, USA.
He started his career at Ford of Belgium in 1987 and has since worked at various senior positions within Ford of Europe. In 2004 he joined General Motors.
In his new position at Volvo Car Corporation, Alain Visser will manage Volvo's global sales operational business. He will report to Doug Speck, Senior Vice President Marketing, Sales and Customer Service and be a member of the MS&CS management team.
"With his solid experience within sales and marketing, Alain Visser will greatly contribute to Volvo Car Corporation's long term growth ambitions," says Doug Speck.
Alain Visser will start his new assignment at Volvo Car Corporation on September 3, 2012.
