Volvo Cars' stand the best at Geneva Motor Show 2011

Volvo Cars' stand the best at Geneva Motor Show 2011

The Creativity 2011 prize, has been awarded to Volvo Car Corporation and Volvo Cars Switzerland for this year's best stand at the motor show. It was the consistent performance that was especially appealing to the jury, reflecting the brand and its values in an excellent way.

The reasons for the jury to pick Volvo as number one were motivated as follows:

Context: the choice of wood for the floor creates an exclusive feeling but still gives an embracing impression. It represents perfectly what Scandinavian design represents - a feeling of relaxation and self-contemplation.

Technology: The integration of mainly three main-screens, that are visible from every angle in the exhibition hall and also in the connectivity room is perfect. A sheltered room allows the visitor to utilise and experience new technologies in an intelligent way.

Innovation:  The flagship of the brand - the V60 Plug-in Hybrid - is presented centrally and perfectly on stage. The other models are presented in an optimized way and are easily accessible both to the public and to those who present the cars.

"We are extremely happy and honoured to receive the Creativity Award for the very first time here in Geneva. Congratulations to all who have worked on developing the concept and to those who built the stand. It is a tremendous acknowledgement to them all", says Anouk Poelman, President of Volvo Cars Switzerland.

In conclusion the jury states that even though placed in the middle of the exhibition hall, the Volvo stand uses its quality concepts and opportunities well.

Transparency and openness differentiate the Volvo stand from the competitors.

The other stands nominated were Smart's and BMW's.
